Our Ideologues

VISION

JKLF as an organization follows these ideologues

  1. Muhammad Maqbool Butt (Kupwara, Kashmir), a national hero, who embraced gallows at the hands of Indian government in Delhi Tihar Jail on 11 February 1984. His remains were not handed over to his family but buried in the premises of the infamous Delhi Tihar Jail. For being the main source of inspiration for Kashmiri youth, he is being considered as “The Father of The Nation”. All political parties and people from across the ceasefire line do recognize him as the National Hero.
  2. Late Amanullah Khan (Astor, Gilgit), a mentor, who from the very foundations, as chairman and then as supreme head worked relentlessly round the clock in building, establishing and spreading it in and outside the State. He is the one who brought in the ongoing revolution in the State in 1987-88 by introducing armed struggle to achieve independence. As a guiding force, Late Amanullah Khan named as “Quaid-e-Tehreek” (Head of the Movement) provided the ideological and spiritual bases for its members. Besides his own three volumed auto-biography, he is the writer of many books and booklets based on his party ideology.
  3. Muhammad Yasin Malik (Srinagar, Kashmir), the current chairman, who selflessly leads the national freedom struggle while having complete faith in peaceful and non-violent resistance during which he personally suffered a lot. Named as “Quaid-e-Inqlab” (The Head of the Revolution), Yasin Malik has contributed tremendously in the peaceful resolution of the Jammu Kashmir Issue and for this purpose has held many rounds of dialogue with the heads of the States of both India and Pakistan. He was last time arrested from his residence on 22 nd February 2019 and shifted to Jammu Jail after he was slapped with PSA – Public Safety Act on 7 March 2019. He was moved to Delhi on 10 May 2019, handed over into the custody of NIA who charged him in fake, concocted and politically motivated cases on 24 May, and defenselessly during a one sided court proceedings he was unfairly sentenced for life on 25 May 2022 by a special NIA court in Tihar Jail. He and his associates were implicated in some 33 year old murder cases wherein he is defenselessly, remotely and unfairly tried. It is being analyzed that the current BJP government, as an election stunt, is aiming to award him the death penalty before the forthcoming general election in India in 2024.
