In an emergency meeting of the JKLF Supreme Council, the highest decision making and the most authoritative policy-making body, the participants unanimously emphasized that national independence demands national unity, continuous struggle and immense sacrifices.
According to the statement issued from party’s central information office (CIO) that in an emergency held meeting of JKLF supreme council the successful right’s movement in AJK led by JAAC and JKLF delegation’s visit to GB was overviewed
The statement read that in an online meeting of the Supreme Council of the JKLF held at the Central Information Office yesterday afternoon, the successful movement for the restoration of public rights organized by the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) and the visit of a thirty-member party delegation led by Zonal President Sajid Siddiqui to Gilgit-Baltistan was reviewed in detail. The meeting was chaired by acting party chairman Rja Haqnawaz Raja and attended by Vice Chairman Khawaja Saifudin, Vice Chairman Saleem Haroon, Vice Chairman Zahid Hussian Khan, Head of JKLF Deplomatic Bureau Prof. Raja Zafar Khan, Chief Organizer Sabir Gul, Dy. Sec. Gen. Sardar Javed Hanief, Dy. Chief Organizer Sardar M. Anwar Khan, Dy. Finance Secretary Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed, Sajid Siddiqi (President AJK-GB Zone), M. Haleem Khan (President North America), Tariq Sharif, Azam Zia, Muzammil Haq Adil, Malik Aslam and Jamsheed Khan while as President UK Zone Liaqat Ali Lone, President Europe Zone Malik Mushtaq Pasha and President Middle East Zone Waseem Iftikhar Durrani were present in the meeting as observers.
According to the spokesman, the participants in the meeting expressed with one voice that the nation of Kashmir cannot be subdued by the ongoing state terrorism against the freedom-loving people, and nor can any nefarious conspiracy against the movement succeed. The participants of the meeting paid rich tribute to all the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir while paying tribute to all the prisoners including incarcerated chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik. The meeting reiterated the demand for their immediate and unconditional release from Indian jails.
According to the statement, while reviewing the successful people’s rights movement in AJK led by JAAC, the ultimate satisfaction was expressed by the members on the supportive role provided by the JKLF in the movement. The Supreme Council paid tribute to all party leaders, officials and workers at grass root levels for playing a key and pivotal role and for making sacrifices for the movement especially to those who were arrested during the movement. The supreme council members noted that the successful rights movement will prove as a guiding torch for our national freedom to achieve, the statement read.
According to the statement the members appreciated the 30 member JKLF visiting delegation from AJK led by zonal president Sajid Siddiqi to Gilgit Baltistan on successful programs held in connection with the death anniversary of late Amanullah Khan respectively in Gilgit and Skardu. While appreciating their efforts the meeting decided to speed up the process of public communication between Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and the membership drive in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Supreme Council reiterated its party’s decision to continue the efforts in reuniting the various factions of JKLF under the dynamic leadership of the illegally incarcerated leader like Muhammad Yasin Malik.
According to the statement, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai (Sec. Gen WKAF) led delegation consisting of Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, Sardar Zulfiqar Ahmed, Zafar Ahmed Qureshi and Mazammil Ayub Thakur, during their visit to JKLF office held an interactive session with JKLF leadership on the current situation and the possible solutions to the problems faced. During discussions, the need to develop and formulate a Joint National Kashmir Policy by Kashmiri leadership was emphasized, the statement read.
Meanwhile, the chief spokesperson of JKLF, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussain Amir Abdullahian in a helicopter crash. . He expressed the views of equal participation in the grief and shock of the Iranian people and prayed for the high status and forgiveness of all the deceased who died in the accident.
