JKLF in Skardu (Baltistan) pays rich tributes to Quaid-e-Tehreek Amanullah Khan.

Local people in large numbers participated in the condolence conference organized by JKLF.

Reps. of different political parties agreed to speed up the struggle for national independence and termed Amanullah Khan (late) as the Pride of Gilgit Baltistan.

“Skardu Declaration” was unanimously adopted in All Parties Conference held soon after the condolence conference.

Expressed the revival of Intra-State public contacts and active participation of local people in the freedom movement.

Conference demanded resumption of State Subject Rule in GB, opening of Schonter Tunnel, termination of Karachi Agreement, mining of minerals by local companies and citizenship rights for Kashmiri refugees.

A condolence reference was organized by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front and Jammu Kashmir Students Liberation Front yesterday on Tuesday, the 30th of April on the occasion of the eighth death anniversary of Quaid-e-Tehreek Amanullah Khan (late) at a local hotel in Skardu (Baltistan), in which, besides the local political, social and religious leaders including the civil society and student representatives, a large number of peoples participation was witnessed.

According to the statement issued from central information office by the JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar, JKLF AJK-GB Zonal president Mr. Sajid Siddiqi was the chief guest of the event which was presided over by Gilgit based Zonal Senior Vice president Mr. Sahib Khan while as the conference was conducted over by central dy. chief organizer Sardar Muhammad Anwar Khan. Besides JKLF senior leadership Shafqat Mughal, Khan Rasheed Khan, Qamar Aslam, Saeed Mirza, Khalid Shaidaie and SLF leaders Abdul Wahab and Faizan Ahmed the others who spoke on the occasion were; Muhammad Ali Dilshad (GBUM), Najaf Ali (Chairman Awami Action Committee Baltistan), Wazir Hasnain Raza (President Tehreek Pasdaran), Muhammad Abdullah Haidari (Senior Leader People’s Party), Fida Hussain Nisar (Central Leader GBUM) , Muhammad Ali Advocate (President District Bar Skardu), Numdar Muhammad Yusuf (Senior Leader Tehreek-e-Insaf), Basharat Ghazi Advocate (Chairman Civil Society), Engineer Zakir Hussain (Leader Tehreek Pasdaran), Israr Hussain (Nationalist Leader), Syed Nazar Hussain Kazmi (Chairman Awami Action Committee Kharmang), Syed Mazhar Hussain Kazmi (Nationalist Leader) and Muhammad Riaz Ghazi (Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jamaat).

According to the statement all the speakers paid tribute to Quaid-e-Tehreek Amanullah Khan (Late) and the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir for the role and sacrifices they rendered in the freedom movement. The local speakers hailed the late Amanullah Khan for his unprecedented role and termed him as the pride of Gilgit-Baltistan, the statement read. The speakers expressed their determination to not only continue but to speed up the struggle till the goal of independence of the State of Jammu Kashmir is achieved, spokesman said.

The speakers while presenting the examples of martyrs and illegally detained Yasin Malik like thousands of other political prisoners, condemned the Indian State terrorism that has been continuously going on for decades in Indian Occupied Jammu Kashmir and demanded international community especially the human rights organizations to break their criminal silence.

According to the spokesman, the chief guest of the event the JKLF Zonal President Sajid Siddiqui while paying gallantry tribute to the Quaid-e-Tehreek late Amanullah Khan made a special reference of the role and sacrifices being rendered by the incarcerated chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik. He gave a special emphasis on the need of continuous public contacts between the regional constituent parts of Jammu Kashmir, especially between AJK and GB and announced to host an Intra-Kashmir conference in Muzaffarabad in the next possible time. In the best interest of local people, Sajid Siddiqi demanded the government of GB to allow mining of minerals especially the gemstones to local companies besides issuance of citizenship rights to Kashmiri refugees in GB, the spokesman said.

In his speech, the chief guest advised the government and all the political parties of Azad Kashmir, especially the heads of the well-established political platforms that as an important unit of the State, the representatives of Gilgit-Baltistan, for their active participation and for the benefit of mutual trust, should be consulted in affairs concerning to State and the national liberation movement.

Meanwhile, immediately soon after the lunch at the end of the condolence reference, an All-Party Conference was organized by JKLF in which the leaders and representatives of all the above mentioned parties participated. The “Skardu Declaration” with the below mentioned resolutions was unanimously adopted by the participants of APC hosted and chaired by JKLF Zonal President Sajid Siddiqi.

Skardu (Baltistan) Decleration:

· The conference pays great tribute to Quaid-e-Tehreek late Amanullah Khan and all the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir for the valuable services and sacrifices they rendered for the freedom movement.
· Participants of the conference paid tributes to the incarcerated chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik and all other pro-freedom political prisoners languishing in Indian jails for enduring the hardships of the prisons and making unprecedented sacrifices. They unanimously demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
· The participants of the conference reiterated their national stance that the State of Jammu Kashmir including Gilgit-Baltistan, comprising 84,471 square miles of area and over 2.25 million of population, is an indivisible political entity.
· The participants further stressed that its peaceful resolution lies in the resumption of independence of the State through exercise of unfettered right of self-determination or Tri-Partite dialogue between the representatives of India, Pakistan and Kashmir
· The participants reject any solution tantamount to the division of the State.
· The participants unanimously condemns Indian aggression of 5th August, 2019 and oppose the proposed plan of the government of Pakistan of annexing GB with Pakistan.
· The participants demand equal participation in the CPEC project.
· Conference demands termination of the Karachi Agreement, and while calling for the resumption of State subject role in Gilgit Baltistan, demands opening of Schonter Tunnel like natural routes for the benefit of local people.
· The conference calls on the government of Gilgit-Baltistan to provide local companies with opportunities to explore and mine mineral deposits, especially rare stones, for the welfare and development of the local population.
· The conference demands citizenship rights of the State to the migrant families from Indian Occupied Jammu Kashmir settled in Gilgit-Baltistan.
· Conference calls for speeding up of public relations campaign for the revival of public relations between various units of the State.
· The participants appeals to the international community, especially the international human rights organizations, to break their criminal silence and take concrete steps to stop Indian State terrorism in IOK.
